      No.......keep it upright,and let stand for 1 hour before switching it back on.

        NO IF YOU CAN HELP IT, HOWEVER SHOULD YOU NEED TO TRANSPORT IT BY LAYING IT DOWN YOU CAN. ONCE YOU GET IT TO WHERE IT IS GOING, SET IT BACK UPRIGHT BUT DO NOT PLUG IT BACK FOR 24-HRS !!! SET ALLSETTINGS DOWN AS LOW AS POSSIBLE FOR THE FIRST 24-HRS THEN ADJUST TO DESIRED TEMPURATURES!!!
