I am in a wheel chair and the best thing you can to is get them outside, sit along a nice river way or in a park, take them to the shops, sometimes we don't have independance and if you can push up hills that we can't thats a bonus.
You don't need a plan honestly just knowing you are getting this person out and pushing them around for the day will be enough!!
