It is credited to be the first translation by a committee rather than an individual. It is the first to acknowledge a chronology and there are still many copies in circulation with Archbishop Ushers chronology in the central bible students column. Sadly Usher suffered from the common delusion that the the world was created in 6/24 hr days and this led to scientific discreditably. However in spite of the out dated langauge of the 17th Century which make it hard to read it is still a very useful translation.
