1 Answer
It's half game, not half points.
To determine how far a team is behind another team you take the sum of the differences of the two teams wins and losses and divide that total by 2. If the total of the differences is an odd number then the team will be a half game behind. It is possible to have more wins and still be behind another team because of how many games the team has played.
