Thats the ONE THING I don't know. ;)

A lamp gives off a softer light, where as a light can be however bright you want it to be.

a lamp holds a light bulb.....a bulb produces light

someone else said to me a lamp gives light and light can guide you to a path...it made me ponder but still it is a little ambiguous to me

seriously...I would appreciate the answer coz someone asked me and I did not know what to answer...a lamp gives light and light gives light....I said...they laugh..they still waiting 4 a decent answer
