Do you have a link to this story?

I know that this does happen. This is prejudice and hate, something that is alive and well in America. Something that is not taught enough about in our public school systems that are controlled by the government. The fact that California could put preposition 8 on their states constitution denying the homosexuals the righto be married in CA shows that this country still has a problem with discrimination. Discrimination always has a way of leading to violence. When a state can show that discrimination is OK, then what stops the people from hating and becoming violent over those they hate through discrimination?

Education and acceptance of all color differences is still at a low in my opinion. The message should be, people are people are people. We all bleed the same color blood despite the skin color. Education in American is sorely lacking. Perhaps the ignorance of the men who attacked is due to little to no education. Any American born black person living in America today should be living  the American culture, not the African culture of hating America for making their people slaves generations ago. That's where the hate for whites in this country by the blacks still comes from in my opinion. They have not let go of the slavery issue and the race card.

Now I know the white people are not saints. There are whites who treat blacks just as badly. Again, lack of education and ignorance are the biggest factor for them too.

i forgot the link but saw the interview from the father's perspective a few while ago...I agree with him that it was indeed hate crime toward the young man....Discrimination is a crime,a nuisance in my opinion...many still suffer from this...:-(((in all areas in life...with females at work place, with people of different cultures and background etc...Education is still an issue in many neighborhood...What a shame that some are even not given the opportunity to learn:-(((and others are given this blessing but do not cherish it and do not use it:-((U COMPLETELY RIGHT WHEN U SAID THAT IGNORANCE N LACK OF EDUCATION R THE  BIGGEST FACTOR 4 THEM...acceptance of other cultures is a must but it does not mean we r forced to abide by everything a certain group says we must do...just because of their skin color
