    I would boil a litter longer if you want them solid. 5-6 min.
    place in cold water, bring to boil and simmer for about 4 mins. they will come out "hardboiled" like you see in potato salad, etc.
    It all depends on how U like them. If U like them soft then 3 minutes boiling is fine. 4 a little harder like Randy says, 5-6 min.
    Not very. Make sure they are completely submerged and wait til they are actually boiling ( turn the heat down to a gentle rolling boil if the heat is too high the eggs will bounce and crack) then time for 3 minutes of actual boiling.
