      Clostridium difficile, known more commonly as C Diff, is a bacteria that causes thousands of people to become sick year in the United State. C Diff has the ability to form protective spores, which can allow it to live for years on surfaces. It is not easily killed by common household cleaners, so it lives on surfaces for much longer than many other bacterium.
