As long as it's not peeling it shouldn't be a problem.Oil paint over latex is usually OK.Latex over oil paint is a whole 'nuther ball game tho.If you want to paint latex over the existing oil paint you can buy a sealer/undercoat specifically for this purpose at a specialist trade paint shop.
