Open Internet Explorer.

Select "Tools" on the far right of the bar where your tabs appear (it should be the bottom bar in your toolbars).

Select "Internet Options" from the drop-down menu.

Select "Settings" in the Tabs section of the Internet Options window.

Click "Open home page for new tabs instead of a blank page" and make sure there is a check mark in the box directly to the left of it. Now your new tabs will open with your homepage instead of an About:blank page. http://www.ehow.com/how_4900117_rid-blank.html

This is a great answer. My question is a) how did you know what blank to get rid of? b) Is this really the bland Graham is wishing to lose? I'd really like to hear from Graham on this. If your answer solves his problem, you'll be my goddess of clairvoiyant support.
He listed it under the computer topics. Blank on a computer typically means blank page when no home page has been set up. There are many questions asked here where the members have to "read the mind" of the person asking the question because many people do not include enough detail or information into their question/s.
