Be careful...even tiny cute harmless looking creatures can and will bite. Seemingly harmless, you have no idea what diseases this little creature carries. If you want to save it use a glove and put it in the bushes and let it be.

I just read what you said to Randy..Hilarious!

Mom probably got killed and it was happy to find anything warm. Best to let it go and nature will deal with it, will more than likely die without mom.

Leave it be

Leave him in a safe place - or where you found him - he's probably got family. Don't worry too much about diseases - the human bite is the filthiest and taken much more seriously than bites from little creatures.

There should be a wildlife rescue habitat or preserve near you somewhere. Check yellow pgs or online. Call and ask them if they'll take it or what the best thing to do with it is. Your'e goodhearted.  All of nature counts for something!!
