You say your daughter is wearing herself out transporting her husband from doctor to doctor. That must be difficult.
Do you think that her husband is a threat to their marriage because of his poor health?
What would you have him do? What would you have her do?
He might have a driving problem that you don’t know about. Could you drive him? Could you pay for a taxi?
My son-in -law sleeps all the time! He has MANY medical issues! I feel so bad for their family but he seems to want NOT to help himself! My daughter is quickly getting worn to a frazzel! He has always had bad health but doesn't seem to want to help himself! She works and transports him to doctor after doctor! They are breaking my heart! I just offer comfort but what can you do to make these folks realize they are wearing their partner OUT?

Do you think he just lies and sleeps for no reason?
You’ll know by now whether your friend had/has a health problem. I realize you asked this question a year ago but there was a problem getting the message to the people who answer questions. There are many reason why people sleep a lot: Plain fatigue, Depression, problems that only a doctor can diagnose.
