Electricity is charged particles. Normally charged particles are everywhere. These particles can congregate or be notably absent from an area. The plurality of electrons are attracted to any object that has fewer electrons. When these objects are brought closely together the charged particles are concentrated on the side of the object that is closest to the object that is devoid of electrons until the charged particles can equalize the charge between the two objects. This event is called a flow of electric current.
