    I want to get rid of APPS4U which has mysteriously appeared on my toolbar.

    As suggested by Karen I went into my Control Panel and then Add or Remove Programs but this particular program did not appear. Have y any other suggestions please?

      You need to look for the Vuze toolbar and remove that. APPS4U is an app on that toolbar. Use same steps as above to find and uninstall Vuze.
