Self-rising flour is all-purpose flour with added salt and leavening (baking powder).
You will notice that recipes that call for self-rising flour do not call for baking powder.

Hi country bumpkin - how you doing - well I hope. Yeap - just flour with baking powder added - sodium bicarbonate - to help the pastry to rise when cooked and as you say baking powder not needed if the recipe says self raising flour.Both can be bought separately. However, I do not cook to this extent nowadays.
