    ALCOHOL STILL FOR GASOLENE ADDITIVE

    how many people really distill alcohol at home to add in their vehicles gas tank to cut down on the high cost os gas these days. I have heard that the us gov. is against such distilleries at home is anyone really doing this sounds like a good idea

    Seems like a lot of trouble to go through to just be used as an additive. Can't be any good for your engine in my opinion but I could be wrong.

    Made 200 proof alcohol years back. Pour a little in the gas tank to get the water out of the lines. Nearly everything  I made was poured over ice and soft drinks. Gasoline was cheaper then.

    I know of one couple that dose that, Haven't checked as to how. I get waste vegetable  oil from the bars and restaurants and convert that into biodiesel.
