        Round or rectangular! Who cares? Pies are good!  Rectangular would be easier to serve.  However I am not a pie crust maker and it is easy to buy frozen round crusts!

                My grandma makes pies in a 8x11 pan and we  call it chesterfield pie.

                  because nobody ever thought to make it in a square, or rectangular baking pan.  Look at pizza......first it was round,. Then, they started making it in a rectangular baking sheet adn called it Sicilican pizza, or  Chicago pizza.

                    We have had square pies here for years.The frozen type.But... What you call pies & what we call pies are 2 different things alltogether.

                    @Tommy...The pic I posted is called pizza pie, but commonly referred to as (just) "pizza". Our "pie" is dessert...apple, blueberry, pumpkin, lemon, etc. What is YOUR pie?

                    Our "pies" are single serve meat pies.I looked everywhere for one in the U.S. the only place that had them was the Aussie Shop in San Antonio.We have dessert pies also but you have to say specifically "Apple" pie,"Blueberry" pie etc.If you ask for a pie you will get a meat pie.
