What is the DEAL with this flower? It looks like a face with dark sunken eyes, a long pointy nose and vibrant-white teeth. (I'm scared)

I had to sleep with a pillow over my head last night because I had a nightmare that I was being chased down and gobbled up by a field of rhododendrons.

I am chillaxing in my sea of Rhododendrons ... which are not blooming at the moment... by the by.
