I can't think of a reason why your internet explorer shuts down after 7 minutes, IE is a virus vacuum, it sucks up every virus out there because it's the most popular makes it the most vulnerable to hackers. I would uninstall it then run a virus scan and then defrag and reboot, then reload from Microsoft websites.
You might want to do what millions of others have done, load a different browser, like Mozilla (Firefox) or Opera, both of those are very fast and efficient. You can also download Chrome, I don't like chrome but lots of people do. I uses Firefox.
