Top left corner of the email program's page, see Google. Under Google see Gmail with a tiny down arrow next to it. Click the down arrow, then click Contacts. At the top of the Contacts box see the people symbol with the + sign added to it. Click it and add the contact's email address. Now that you have the contact saved, find it in your address book, select it and add it to the group you created.
