    Warm, dry air will result in the fastest drying time. Choose a day with no precipitation, low humidity and high temperatures. A dehumidifier may also be used.


    Sufficient ventilation and airflow will also aid the drying process. Open windows, ceiling fans and oscillating fans are all beneficial.

    Today, most all is latex, or modified-oil, (still latex properties) and it will evaporate the water from it to the atmosphere.  With oil-based paints, this was paint which had certain solvents which were the carriers of the pigments and hardeners, and they also evaporated, with some of the solvents going to the atmosphere, as pollutants.
