Rope grabs are safety devices used for anchoring people on elevated surfaces. They are used in industrial applications to prevent workers working in tall buildings from plummeting to the ground. They are normally connected to safety belts.

Rope grabs are also called fall arrest devices. They are connected to the chest of the climbing harness when used by climbers. They can be used with traditional ropes or steel wire ropes for recreational climbing or rescue operations.
