Will a yukka plant grow back after cutting down completely?

Yucca plants are hardy perennials, and it is often very difficult to get rid of them completely. Because they have an extensive root system, it is virtually impossible to remove the entire network. Even if you cut the plant down, surviving roots will send up new shoots. Completely killing yucca plants may require several attempts.
