I'm not from the UK but I think I can answer this because the same thing applies to my country.
Most people who live in free countries become tired of seeing people move into their country to escape the terrible conditions that they had to endure in the places they came from only to see them try to turn their host country into the same hell hole they came from.
People who refuse to assimilate & accept the customs of the new country & somehow try to convert the existing population to their way of thinking.
I know,if I wasn't happy with the place I lived in,I would try to make changes there,not move somewhere else & try to change that place.
