I typed solutions to fire ants in google and came up with a site called yardner with lots of info . You should follow my course and take a look . They did say pouring boiling water is effective if you do it every day for awhile . Having spent some time in Texas the home of fire ants I can tell you this ,if you pour the hot water in the mound you will have ants in the house in a week . These are mean little sobs and they will get revenge ,belive it or not . The first one never stings until the whole gang is there . Many times I have seen people getting naked on the side of the road in Texas beating the crap out of themselves swatting those fire ants . Men and women alike .
