      If they feel your job is too stressful or dangerous and may cause complications for your pregnancy, yes, they can lay you off. This can protect the company from a law suit.

          No its not legal, they cannot lay you off just because you are pregnant, but they might come up with different reason for laying off, in that case you just have to prove it.

            Read my comment Andrew, in some cases they can lay a pregnant woman off if they have no other job she can safety work. If she's a painter, she could not work around paint fumes.Jobs like that.
