      I want to know if you're gay. Do you laugh a lot? If you laugh a lot and are happy all the time, then you're gay. :)

        Who are you asking? I am not gay. Nothing to laugh at these days and I do like men for the obvious reasons. I am woman.

        I am talking to the person who asked the question. One definition of gay is happy.

        It used to mean happy and joyous.  Festive mood.  Now it means homosexual.  How we got there is anybodys guess.  The first meaning is total opposite the last.

          I know how we got there. Maybe if people weren't so cruel, the second meaning would never have come to be. Gay still means happy and joyous. Like many American words, it's a word with more than one meaning.
