Wow. Sorry to hear that! I hope we get over it (and in my case, it's probably getting over myself. I keep doing things to sabotage relationships). What do you think "it" is?

Gosh Bob/PKB, sounds you messed up a good friendship. I'm sorry to hear that. Being afraid to commit and being afraid of rejection go hand in hand. You won't commit because you are afraid of being rejected. Well Bob/PK, the worst has happened you were rejected. But guess what, you lived through it. Next time, don't think so much about what you are going to do or say. That will get you all in a Tizzy and paranoid and more certain than not, you will screw up because you are afraid of being rejected. You lost your friend. Had you committed you may have gotten rejected, but I bet not. Be yourself. If this is a real friend, they will forgive you if you ask for forgiveness. So ask them. Be honest and be sincere. I took a wonderful friendship and probably ruined it. I actually THINK about what I am going to do before I do it, then later, after the world crumbles around me, dissect what I've done or said and realize it was suicide. It's possible I've been doing this my whole life. Am I afraid of commitment or rejection?
