I know! I know! (waving my hand wildly in the air)
Johnny depp in the movie "benny and joon" invented grilled cheese sandwiches. he put a piece of cheese between two pieces of bread. then he took it to the ironing board, turned the iron on high and pushed the bread down until the cheese melted. voila! a cheese sandwich.
you spell sandwich the same way i spelled it FOR YEARS. it's s-a-n-d-w-i-c-h. No "witch" in it.. have a good day. : )
