    Texas inmates health care

    I have a nephew in a Texas proson who I send money to purchase personal items. He has informe me that the prison system will bew aking a portion of the money I send to him to defry prison health care expenses. What is this about? I feel that this is wrong.

      Yes starting  sept 1, i think, the convict will have to pay a one time 100.00 fee. If want to see doctor. May not have to pay for certain reasons. But no, the state will not get the money you send him. Unless he gives it for a health lay in. What unit is he at.
