Do you think man will ever be able to successfully navigate a Black hole?

If so how would we keep the ship from being torn apart? Which type of black hole would be easiest to navigate? Does negative matter really exist? Once inside could we enter the wormhole and where would we end up?

What, if anything, is believed to exist in the center of a black hole?

"beam me up scotty .. no sign of intelligent life here" i love you leyroy.. but your forgetting god is omnipresent at the end of the black hole is a new frountier owned by god..!1

I could never forget the God factor, we can only do what He allows us to do, we are just trying to understand the principals of the universe, that in His brilliance he wove together to create this place. Science doesn't disprove God, it only helps us understand how God did it. TMO

On a documentary, I watched, the scientist said that if you went into a black hole, the people watching would see your body torn to pieces at the edge. But, in reallity, you would, feel yourself still falling and in one piece. You would still be thinking. I don't know how they came to that conclusion

It has something to do with the distortion of time from their viewpoint and yours. Once inside the black hole there is supposed to be a vortex, inside this vortex is where time stops, it's theorizes that this is where the wormhole will be.

If we learn to successfully navigate the wormhole we can control what time and place we exit. Pretty interesting stuff.

    I'll say.

    ASK OBAMA he has

If you could find a larger, recently divided, black hole that would take care of the radiation problem. What about finding negative matter, does it really exist? How and where would it be?

Dang don't give the stupid government any more ideas on ways to waste our tax dollars okay?

WOULD NOT NEGATIVE MATTER CANCEL OUT THE POSITIVE MATTER??

It supposedly will act like magnets where they will bounce off each other.

in a million years, yeah probably

    doublehelix

i know that, just been sarcastic, WE are much CLOSER than that :)
uh, but seriously, it'd be mad and awesome if they could do it in the coming ten years :)
    who knows

    ????????????????

Nah not a million, we are much, much closer than that.

Just wondering if anyone out there talks about other things besides the usual here?

I don't think you could if you were a one inch square of gold or lead. I think everything gets crushed to the point of energy being shot out on the other side many light years away where a star is born along with some fragments that over time become that suns systems bodys. Star making machines.?

I don't think it will be too long from now that we start to find out information about dark matter. With Zurn's technology smashing atoms, and breaking down the particles from each atom. They will stumble across dark matter.
But that kinda scares me because as human's we are messing with "God Like" power, that we do not understand and it could become catastrophic.

Did God make us to destroy ourselves? seems kinda pointless, when he could do it anytime

    Bob Waffle

Maybe the sacrifice has already been made. can't believe you didn't actually consider that :(

    doublehelix

how is that messing with god's powers,
god gave us the knowledge, what are we suppose to do with it, sit and stare at the facts?
if he didn't want us to use it, then why give it to us?

    doublehelix

without sacrificing something, you can never gain anything

    doublehelix

so without destroying something, nothing could be created

    doublehelix

can't believe you actually asked that :(

    doublehelix

    how can that be?

Just wondering if anyone had heard of the newer theory that if we find negative matter asteroids that may exist in the farthest parts of the universe and sent them in a split second before the ship that could be enough to prevent the ship from being crushed, also the effect of radiation, which the size of the black hole would matter.

This is common misconception... A "black hole" is not a real "hole," but a single point (a singularity) of ultimate density and gravity. It looks and acts like a hole because this are sucked toward it and spiral toward it, but they end up at this infinitely small point of unimaginable gravity. Other than being destroyed by the gravity (spagettification - where something is pulled apart over and over again), no ones know what if any else could occur. So, you less go "into" a black hole than "become a part of" as that single point in the center. This could potentially lead to worm hole and other odd things, but the conventional wisdom now is just good old complete destruction... And then there is the problem of getting to a black hole - which would take a couple hundred thousand years with any current technology - which kind of defeats the purpose.

Hypothetically, there are theories out there that suggest that we may someday be able to navigate a newer,"Black hole."

Navigation may be possible with the use of negative matter, although it hasn't been physically proven to exist yet... So yes it's a very speculative question.
