Do you mean symmetry? (and I may be spelling that wrong, too). If something is symmetrical, it is balanced and in proportion with itself.
For example, a square is proportioned.......it is the same on all four sides and all the corners are 90 degrees.

That is exactly what I meant (Symmetry). So strange that I got the answer from my daughter and son in law just tonight. The reason I asked is because I have a book called HER FEARFUL SYMMETRY by AUDREY NIFFENEGGER. In the book they are twin girls. After hearing the meaning of the word I see that it has everything to do with the girls...Going to be a good read...thank you for you answer :)
