    No, especially in today's marriages....They usually don't last.  When that happens, all you need to do is cancel your joint credit cards, and you're the same old person again.

    negative at least not in mass. may vary from state to state ,but my guess is no!

    interesting question.id guess(not sure!!!!)the answers no.it seems a lot of professional married women keep their maiden name

    From the other perspective....If you wish to take his last name, then yes, it has to be done legally. You can't just start using his name.
