People still don't know what is main purpose of Yawning but it's believed to be a physical mechanism that works when one is tired, or bored. When you yawn you inhale a large amount of air which supposed to wake you a bit. People sometimes yawn when they are a bit short of oxygen, for example: when you exercise. Yawning helps the body to restore normal level of oxygen to the body.
