Depends on the weather really. If it is really hot and dry, you don't want to cut your grass to low to the ground; it will turn brown as it bakes in the sun. If you are getting a lot of rain and are just trying to get the lawn cut between the downpours then go ahead and take it down low....it'll grow back really fast with the rain and the peeks of sunshine
