      This is a toughie.  The curse remained operative until the time of Elisha.  It was 3 or 4 centuries after Joshua's invasion thatJ ericho was rebuilt.

        Linda G. it was not really a curse.  There was a type of snail in the water in Jericho and that snail contained parasites that eventually killed the people of Jericho.
