Some years ago now Bunkin .. I had a beauty little '69 Super Beetle blazing yellow and a riot to drive [she only liked to go 77 mph on the hiway and rode like a Citroen .. lol ... anyhoo , I had stopped on a Sunday at the V-dub dealership [closed ] to take a gander at some of the cars. I'm purty dern sure that Betsy [my vw] got jealous and maybe felt a little threatened.. haha... 'cuz when I went to start her up .... k-k-k-k .... k-k-k-k ... no go !
Well, I had the manual for dummies and ended up trouble-shooting her and finding that the dang solenoid was beserkered! Now I'm panicing cuz where the heck am I gonna get one of those in a hurry? So as I'm scratching my head my eye wanders across the hiway where there's this teeny tiny little shack that has a little sign that says "parts" on it and the front door is kicked open and radio music blaring from a speaker hanging near the door... luck!
So I went over and it turned out that the guy had the piece I needed! It was the only one he had! LOL He was amazed when I went back and fixed my car and drove away! I honked and waved too! ;D

This story made me grin ear to ear. to much to explain here tonight, but I know what you mean. Thank you for taking the time to tell me this story. I love it!
