Cell phone SIM (Subscriber Identity Module) cards used to have a very small storage space only capable of holding phone contacts and phone network configuration information. Now there are SIM cards that have a much larger storage space that can be used for storing pictures and other files that require larger amounts of space. You can transfer pictures from a SIM card using the same method you'd employ when copying pictures from an SD (Secure Digital) card from a camera.

Step 1
Insert the SIM card into the USB SIM card adapter. Plug the adapter into an open USB port on the computer.

Step 2
Click the "Start" button and click "Computer." Double click on the SIM card icon from the list of storage devices displayed. Browse the folders displayed to find the folder containing pictures.

Step 3
Press the "CTRL" and "A" keys at the same time to select all pictures within a folder. Press the "CTRL" and "C" keys at the same time to copy all selected pictures.

Step 4
Navigate to a directory on the computer where you wish to save the pictures. Press the "CTRL" and "V" keys at the same time to copy all the pictures to the directory.

Step 5
Navigate back to the directory on the SIM card where the originals of the copied pictures are stored. Press "CTRL" and "A" keys at the same time to select all the pictures again. Press the "DEL" key to delete the selected pictures to clear room for more pictures.
