    my iphone was dropped in the pool yesterday and is not working....what do I do?

    Can I pay for a replacement at a local apple store?

    You will not get a free replacement unless you paid for some sort or "dropping in pool" insurance. You can open it, remove the battery, get as much water out of it as you can,  air dry it for a day or two and hope for the best.

    yeah, water and devices don't mix to good. Get you a baggies, take your iphone completely apart, take the battery out, take anything off of it that you can. Take all the parts and put them in the baggie. Once you have loaded the baggie with the parts, cover them and fill the bag full of uncooked rice. Let it sit for a few days then inspect the device to see if there is any moisture. If all looks good, put it all back together and try it. Sounds odd but the rice will absorb all the moisture. Be patient, it can a while. If this does not work, you're probably out of luck. Let us know how it goes for you.
