    We are approaching, husband's at retirement, we have a medium-size chunk in the stock market that is our nest egg. With what is happening now, would you wait it out or get out.

    You are now 3 years on,and i hope you did what i did,,mine were in a balanced portfolio,,true the price of the shares dropped,but if you still have the shares,they will grow,of course the problem is ,how much time a person has left..>>>>>>>><<<<<<<< 

    Hope you waited.. My 401K took a big hit but has recovered quite nice.

    You can always make money from share dividends even if the shares go down, For example Shell, National Grid, Vodaphone, Sainsbury, will pay 5%.
