    serious question.how safe is internet banking?i

    i do mine by branch or post but the interest rate looks better on the internet

    Are you talking about doing your banking at your local bank's website, or are you referring to banking with a web based banking site? I ask because you refer to the interest rates being different.


    I think they are secure in both cases, but I prefer dealing with a local bank where if I have a problem, I can walk in and talk to them in person.

    I have been using it for years.  So far so good.  Make sure you logout each time after you use it.

    Banks have very secure sites but it is electronic and subject to dishonesty. You need to be sure that your own home connection is just as secure. Have it properly protected and firewalled. Make sure your passwords are not easily figured out. All the no brainer stuff and you should be fine.

    I wouldn't do it any other way now. It's too convenient.
