      Mahaleo ruby is a fissure filled stone. The ruby is usually mined in Africa and is of a very low quality. It is treated by filling in cracks with colored glass or other materials to improve clarity and color. Therefore Mahaleo Ruby is much cheaper than an all-natural gem.
