              Bananas are native to southeast Asia so African and south American monkeys wouldn't have eaten them as part of their natural diets prior to their introduction as cultivated human foods but well, monkeys are adaptable.

              Monkeys like fruit. They are fairly discerning about what they eat in the wild but, being curious and explorative, can learn what kinds of fruit are and are not edible. New fruits would find their way onto the menu pretty quickly.

                I'm sure there are a few that are "BANANA INTOLERANT" but those are a small segment of their numbers.
