    What precisely is a Zip Drive ?

    i just inherited a few and don't know what to do with them. What software is required, and is it still
    avaliable ? from where ?

    A Zip drive is an 'antiquated' storage device that uses a high capacity floppy. Popular storage is 350~750 megabytes, I-omega was the first to make one of these devices, you probably have iomega disks..  They are worthless, I would find a drive to see what may be stored on them though..
