The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the US Government cannot pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies. Increasing America’s debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that, “the buck stops here.’ Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans desrve better.”

Wars cost an incredible amount of money no doubt, but the war's are not what's wrong with this country financially. If we keep this up the Chinese flag will be flying over head in this country. Our Government doesn't recognize it's people anymore. They can't relate to any of us. I wonder, can we the people physically storm the Capital building and forceably remove it's members from the building? Would send a loud message.

The flood/hurricane crisis in New Orleans comes to mind.The US govt. was so busy throwing money at every other country that cried it completely failed to address this tragedy on their own doorstep.
Then there is the Billions of $$ being spent in Iraq & afghanistan.
Get out & let the bastards sort it out for themselves why don't they? Spend the money at home,where it's needed.
