I'm assuming your parents have you do the dishes at home. Good for them. All children should share in household responsibilities. Be happy you do not also have to take care of the farm animals, help to clear land, dig up rocks from the fields, dig up stumps and remove them, load bales of hay onto a truck, work the gardens (weeding and collecting ripened vegetables) mow the lawn, clean chicken coops and stalls and more (on top of having a paper route). Plus, no allowance for all that work. Jobs started for us when we were 6 years old.

We listen to you, mjones.  You may hate it now, and you'll hate it even more tomorrow. 

However, good things will happen to you some day soon if you listen to your parents.
