    I just ordered and paid for a book through Kindle, but i don't have a Kindle machine. I have a slate with Android. I assumed the

    book (Different, by Moon) would come to my slate but it hasn't appeared. Should I have ordered in a different manner?

      If there's a Kindle app for Android you'll need to install it first and then download the book to the app. But yeah, you can only purchase kindle books with a kindle account on amazon. People have kindle accounts even with just an ipad. The problem is having the kindle app on your device to download the books to.
