It would probably be easier to open a new email account in the name you want. Then just send everyone on your contact list the new address. As for your husband's account ... you might want to keep that active for a while to make sure you receive anything of importance that is sent to his address.

For both cases you need to contact the Email provider support. Look for the "support" button on the home page of the email provider or "contact us". Closing you late husband's email account will be easy once you reach the support team, but changing your email name would be a bit problematic. Not every email provider allows changing the email name.
