I have found in the case of my laptop if I am watching a movie online i do not know what it is but some play loud enough and some do not even if you have your speakers at the loudest. So I bought a pair of good ear buds to listen and that solves the problem I can hear the ones that do not play loud enough then. Hope that helps. I also like the ear buds that actually have the soft plastic that goes inside the ear and not just fits on the outside of the ear.
