Covenant of the law, The Ten Commandments. Maybe you need to be more specific with your question? There are several covenants, The Covenant of the Law is considered to be the Old Covenant. Just wondering what you were getting at, or going?

There were a few minor ones, but the major one was the Abrahamic Covenant. It "expired" when the New Covenant became active at the Cross.

Basically it was based upon law and obedience, with the earthly temple and its services, which included sacrificing animals according to disobedience. These services were perpetual as a log was kept of sins, which were finally removed yearly on the day of atonement. I don't know how much you know already or how much more you want to know, if you want to get specific ask away.
